E116 Clouds
    This title shows the various forms of clouds in relation to their altitude, as this is important in predicting weather. It also explains that multi-level clouds are a good indication of trouble. This poster beautifully compliments our Beaufort Wind Force Scale poster as clouds and wind force are major factors in weather prediction. Poster is completed and ready for publication.
   This poster came about by accident. The subject had been listed in our publishing plan for several years, but had not been scheduled for production due to the difficulty of subject. Photographs would not provide the exact representational images that would be required and clouds are very difficult accurately reproduce through illustrations. In fact, it is the weak point of most illustrators. We were seeking an artist for another poster, which resulted in our meeting a woman whose portfolio including landscape with absolutely breath-taking clouds. Such opportunities do not come up often, so we immediately commissioned her to research and create beautiful and high informative poster.
   It is difficult to teach weather, but so little material is available. Beaufort Wind Force and Clouds will later be accompanied by Climate and Weather (now in production) and Weather Forecasting.
