A308 Prehistoric Sea Monsters
   These critters once dominated the world’s oceans. Most have become extinct, but three of the eight clades had descendants that survived. They became the whales, crocodiles and sharks. The top two-third of the posters shows the really big ones, those over fifty feet long, all to the same. Smaller ones are shown below to a different scale. So many fossils of the fascinating animals have been found in the central and western states that the poster shows a map of the Western Interior Seaway that once split North American in half. It explains the present of sea monsters in these seemingly unlikely formation.
