Eras of Life Geological Time Scale presents the complex
life on Earth as it has evolved over the past 365 million
years. This chart "zooms out" to show the big picture. It
condenses the 4.6 billion years that the Earth has been
around to a 24" x 36" poster. It begins with the formation
of the solar system, followed by the formation of the Earth
and sun, the iron catastrophe that resulted in gravity, the
asteroid collision that resulted in the moon, the formation
of the Earth's crust, and goes on from there. Each of the
four eons is presented. |
