This will
be our next dinosaur poster. At this point we are trying to identify
the species that will be shown. The requirements are: (1) broad range
of types, families, (2) ones most applicable to museum exhibits, so
that people can see them, (3) interesting physical features, (4) all
parts of the country represented, (5) new headline making discoveries.
There are over 800 described species almost a third of them have been
found in North America so it will take some time to make the final
selection.
This poster will do something different than our earlier dinosaur
posters. Rather than simply showing the species, each will be engaged
in an appropriate activity, thus providing insight into their
lifestyle. When possible, we want to show parent-child relationships
and interaction between contemporary species. |
