B221 Domestic Airlines
A major goal of this
poster is to provide parents with a poster to take home to the kids
that shows the plane that they flew on. Most major airlines are represented as well as virtually every type of aircraft. Below each aircraft, the caption cites the Airline name, the name
of the aircraft, it's length, wingspan, speed and how many seats it
carries. The airlines and
aircraft are listed below.
All of the images for this poster were based on photographs taken
in 2004. In spite of that, we wanted to be sure the poster was
up-to-date and accurate, so we sent each airline a letter explaining
that we were working on the poster. It was accompanied by a
reduced image of the entire poster and a large-size image of its
aircraft. The airline was asked to insure that it was correct.
In spite of the recent photos, five of the airlines had or were in the
process of updated their livery (markings) and provided us with
material showing it. We have updated all of those images.
One airline is being deleted and two more are being added.
